I Wish I Could’ve Said Goodbye

If anyone is missed they are missed until they return again. Or in some cases if someone takes their place. If a person leaves for a vacation, leaves for college, runs away, they will be missed by those that love them, but when they come back they will return to being loved. The longing feeling for their presence ends because they are there again.

Yet it’s awfully incredible the idea that when someone is gone forever, the human mind will miss them forever. The grief may loosen its strength over time, maybe one day the presence of their loss will not be noticable on a daily basis. Maybe one day you won’t feel empty because so much as covered the opening in attempt to fill the nothingness, an attempt to fill the space between the good memories of their existence and the ones that followed after. But no matter how much time passes, when someone is missed that can never come back, they will be missed forever. They will be missed until they return.

Who Said Not To Talk To Strangers?

I met a woman today that was going on her first date tonight in 4 years. She seemed in her early twenties, almost happy. Her boyfriend of those 4 years had left her a few months ago but you could tell she had moved on from it all. You could tell how much she wanted this date to bring her happiness. She was asking me what they should do tonight, where they should go, what was romantic. I told her to walk through Carytown, theres something there for anyone and plenty to do and places to eat. I don’t know where they ended up going but I really hope everything works out for her.
